Why we're creating Skinloom

We did not set out to start another skincare brand with endless promises. What we sought was straightforward - skin that felt calm.  

Skincare nowadays feels overwhelming, with bold branding, harsh chemicals, and the exhausting 10-step routines to follow. Top that with misleading claims to change your skin into something unrealistic. Our cupboards were stocked, but our skin was tired, dry, and sensitized. 

We intend to create Skinloom because we believe that skin is like a fabric, made of countless tiny threads that tell the story of your health, lifestyle, and heritage. Thus, we want to create a skincare that does not feel like routine, but a ritual. What's the difference though. Well, routine feels bound, something that you have to do. Ritual is more rooted, the thing that you like to do, something that brings you peace and calm. Our wish is to create skincare which makes you, YOU! Something which feels good for your skin and still brings the benefits. 

This is what we want Skinloom to stand for:

• The calm pause between waking up and getting into your daily routines.
• The quiet just before you go to bed
• That breath, before you look in the mirror and decide to be YOU. 

We have all grown up with traditions of skincare that our Nani and Dadi (grandmothers) used, the scent of rose water, the freshness of cucumber, the quiet strength of Tulsi leaves soaked overnight. These weren’t trends. They were rhythms that were passed down through generations, whispered, rather than sold. They did not have chemicals, just natural ingredients with a perfect blend. 

So, we went back to the beginning. To create products that are:

• Grounded in ancestral care
• Made with simple, natural ingredients
• Designed with each thread in mind

Skinloom isn’t just a product line. It’s a belief.
